It does go in the alternate text field, as indicated by the tutorial I mentioned above. Turns out the image size I was using was slightly too big for my screen. I could see the whole image, but the caption was just above the viewing area of my screen. I couldn't scroll up to it. I've updated to the latest version. The "1 of 2" problem persists when a caption title, caption text (when you click "show" under "add image to slideshow") or portfolio meta information is added. (Note - none of those things will cause a caption to display in lightbox).</p> <p>At this point I'd just be happy if I could figure out how to have a caption display when a portfolio item is displayed in lightbox. I did get it to work once, by chance, and now I can't figure out how I did it.
