Hey Nicksarr1,

Just go to: http://www.kriesi.at/support/forum/flashlight and select the blue button at the bottom of the page for "Create New thread". Its just above where the pagination starts.

For your issue, make sure you are using Flashlight version 2.0 (you can download updated theme files from your Downloads on themeforest then install just like you did the first time).

If that doesn't fix it, create a temporary admin account for me and I will log in and take a look.

You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn't grab it :)

I'm going to soft close this topic for now however so we don't get the two issues confused and we can make sure the original posters topic is fully resolved. Just make a new topic or email me if you are unable to.

Regards,

When adding a product I add the image as a slide show, but the default image keep appearing? i've gone through all the things I could think of. Any suggestions?

I think that's not a problem with the gallery but a configuration problem (portfolio page, etc.). Please create me a wordpress admin account and send me the login data to: kriesi2000-dude@yahoo.com - I'll look into it.

Thanks Devin it's http://wildatart.co/?page_id=22 previously when I went to this page there was a text link to view 'Katie's Gallery' but after implementing the suggested changes this has now disappeared. Ideally I'd like a thumbnail on the galleries page that links to 'Katie's Gallery'

Thanks Dude. Looks like we're definitely getting there! All of this PHP is Double Dutch to me, so it's a big help.

When I preview the portfolio entry that I've named 'Katie's Gallery' it works great - all of the five images are showing and they all line up nicely in the three column grid. So that issue is fixed, thank you. However, if I publish the entry and then press 'Galleries' on the main navigation it says 'nothing found' is there anyway to have a thumbnail link showing here to allow access 'Katie's gallery' instead of the previous text link please?

Ok, that's another issue - open up includes/loop-index.php and includes/loop-page.php and replace:

if(!$gallery_active) echo do_shortcode('[gallery force="avia"]');

with:

if(!$gallery_active)
                {
                    $attachments = avia_post_meta(get_the_ID(), 'slideshow');
                    if(!empty($attachments))
                    {
                        $ids = array();
                        foreach($attachments as $attachment)
                        {
                            $ids[] = $attachment[slideshow_image];
                        }
                        $ids = 'ids="' . implode(',', $ids) . '"';
                    }
                    if(!isset($ids)) $ids = '';
                    echo do_shortcode("[gallery $ids]");
                }

and in includes/helper-slideshow.php replace:

$unqiue_id = avia_post_meta($this->post_id, 'gallery_image');

Okay, I tried the suggested solution and it doesn't fix the problem I'm afraid.

When I click 'Galleries' I still only see a text link and when I follow the text link I can only see two thumbnails, instead of the five I uploaded in my WP admin. However, it works [and I can see all five images] if I chose 'Flexible Grid Layout' instead of '3 Column Layout'.

Please could you help me fix this? I'm so close to having a site I'm happy with.

I tested in on my test server and it worked just fine - however if you want to be on the safe side don't use the wordpress editor to modify the file but use a ftp client software like Filezilla, navigate to wp-content/themes/flashlight/includes and make a backup of helper-slideshow.php. Then download the file, modify it with a text editor and upload it again. It will (for sure) not modify your database and (in the worst case) it just won't solve your issue.

Hello everyone, I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I love the Flashlight theme, it looks elegant and beautiful, but I seem to have hit a bit of a brickwall as I'm having problems adding a gallery/portfolio section to the site.

When I click 'Galleries' on the main navigation, I just see the name of the portfolio entry I've added, in this case 'Katie's Gallery', Please see http://www.antonyhepworth.co.uk/1.jpg

When I click the text 'Katie's Gallery', I'm directed to another page that contains the images I added to 'Katie's Gallery'. Please see http://www.antonyhepworth.co.uk/2.jpg

Although, as you can see, for some reason only two images are displayed [rather than the five I uploaded]. What makes it stranger is if I go for 'Flexible Grid Layout', instead of choosing '3 Column Layout', all five images are shown. Please see http://www.antonyhepworth.co.uk/3.jpg

I'd much prefer a neater, three column approach if possible and I'd also prefer it if we could have a thumbnail image when I click on 'Galleries' rather than having to have the text link. Am I doing something wrong?

If someone could please be kind enough to point me in the right direction, I'd be really grateful.

Many thanks
