Yesss Devin, it seems to be solved!! Thank you! Who knows, what it was. Now I'm only a little step away from start working with the theme and woo commerce. Wow. I've generated one test product, put it in the cart and tried to simulate a checkout. All works fine except of the checkout. Here comes a red box that says "no valid order". Any idea on this? I'm really appreciate your support. Thank you for this.

You could via ftp yes. It shouldn't effect any of your setting or anything. I'm really very stumped on where those social buttons are coming from.

I've download the theme again from theme forest and tried to reinstall it via Worpress (Design - Themes - Themes install) as I firstly did. Sytem says after upload "target folder still exist (wp-content/themes/propulsion/). Installation failed. Shall I overwrite the folder via ftp?

Hi Devin,
I've checked it via ftp. In plugins folder I have the subfolder:
- aksimet
- bbpress
- underconstruction
- woocommerce
- wp-google-fonts
and the files:
hello.php
index.php
One folder named "config-woocommerce" sits in "themes" - "propulsion". Can I send you screenshots?

Hey Frank,

I believe that is actually added by the theme and isn't related to the whole group that is getting added into the sidebar area. The issue is that the social icons getting added to the product pages don't have any kind of container where anything the theme adds should. So if you look a the code in the ShareThis field, it has the div class 'social' which holds the facebook and twitter icons and the theme knows what to do with those.

If you can, look at your wordpress files via FTP or your servers file browser and look through the wp-content theme plugin folder and see if you see any plugins there besides: akismet, bbpress, hello-dolly, underconstruction, woocommerce and wp-google-fonts.

The group looks like one that one be generated by a plugin or extension but I just don't see any evidence of it in the dashboard.

Regards,

Mmmh, I'm not sure. I guess I've found the source for the integration of the buttons. In WooCommerce Settings is an option "Share this code". Exactly here: WP Dasboard - WooCommerce - Settings - Integration - Share this - Share this code:

There is a code integrated which seems to come from an external service named "ShareThis publisher ID". Strange is, that when I delete the code and hitting "save changes", WP seems to save the changes and than, all of a sudden the code appears again the field "Share this code". It wouldn't hurt so much, when the buttons would be integrated into the grid of the layout?

As a comment, it is written below the field that the code can be adjusted by editing this option (Sie können den ShareThis Code einstellen beim editieren dieser Option.) But how and where?

Regards

Hi Frank,

I logged in and took a look but I honestly have no idea where those buttons are coming from. As far as I know the theme doesn't have anything like that and it doesn't look like there is a plugin adding it in either. The group is getting dropped in just before the sidebar gets generated and isn't getting attached to the proper place in WooCommerce which makes me think it isn't related to WooCommerce either.

I would suggest disabling all active plugins except for WooCommerce and see if that effects it. Next, re-download the theme files from Themeforest and then re-install the theme in the same way you fist installed it. You shouldn't lose any of your theme settings because it will use the same options entry.

Regards,

Hi Nick,

thanks for your replay. One thing are the social media buttons in the shop, as you can see here: http://www.planet-upcycling.net/?post_type=product

Another thing are the social media buttons in the footer, where I'd like to add some specific channels (currently Google+ and Pinterest).

Currently I've enabled the "under construction" sign. So, if you need access to the site:

**removed by Devin**

Hi,

It is difficult to answer you question without seeing the site. The social media could be coming from the theme, or from a plugin. It is quite easy to remove them but in order to do that, you need to give us the url to the page. If you don't want to post the url, cloak it using a url shortner such as goo.gl

Thanks,

I know, the intended fields are for Facebook, twitter and dribble only. But what, if you want to link with other common social media channels as Google+ and Pinterest for example. And where do the social media icons in the shop come from? How can they be disabled?

Go to Propulsion > Theme Options and scroll to the "Your facebook page/group/account" option. You can enter your facebook url, twitter url, etc. in the fields below and if you leave them empty the icons won't be displayed.

Got it. I'm a fool. The solution was quite easy: I have had two "Shop" pages ;)

But now I have another question. When I go to "Shop" now, the overview page with all products appears. Good! But on the upper right side, between content frame and side bar now lots of social media icons appears also (digg, reddit, Facebook, g+, twitter etc.). I guess they are ment for recommendations. But where do they come from and how can I manage to bring them into the layout. By the way, how can I add some social media buttons (g+, pinterest, fb) to the footer of the main page and to the head of a content page?

Regards

Hi Devin, thank you for your reply. I've doubble checked all metioned options in the following order:

- firstly I set-up all necessary pages in the word press pages menu as new page, beginning with "Shop" as main page and then "Cart", "Account", "Checkout" and so on as subpages from "Shop"

- then I went to "WooCommerce-Plugin" - "Settings" - "Pages" and select the page "Shop" as main catalog for the shop - same with the subpages

So far, so good but still no products show up when I go to the site and go to "Shop" - only a blank page. Could it be, that I firstly have to choose a layout for the main page of the shop (like a gallery)? Would it be possible to send you some screenshots? Furthermore I wouldn't mind to give you access to my page if you tell me what the best way would be for this.

Thanks again.

Hi Frank,

Without seeing the site live or viewing how you have everything set up I can't say for sure. Most likely, the shop page has not be designated correctly in the WooCommerce plugin pages or the products theme selves may not be live (draft status etc).

Check that in the WooCommerce settings>Pages you have the page you want to act as the main catalog view of your shop designated for Shop Base Page. Further down the page you can also make sure all the other various pages have been set as well (Cart, checkout, pay etc).

Hi there, I'm a new user of propulsion and fairly new user of word press. I was able to install the theme successfully with the woocommerce plugin. Now, I was building the structure with sites and menus. I set-up some product categories in the product section of woo commerce and a shop site which appears as shop in the menu. The I took some test products and selected some categories for the. But, when I go now to "Shop" no product appears. What have I missed or what have I done wrong? Thank you for helping.
