Hey,
I think this should be possible but you need php skills and some time. I can give you hints only.

I'd use the_ID function: http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_ID to apply an unique id to the blog, archive or portfolio entries. You need to implement the id in template_blog.php and/or archive.php. If you'd like to scroll to certain portfolio items you can also modify template_portfolio.php.

Then you can follow the instructions here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/pdf-portfolio-read-more how to build a custom read more link. Of course you can change the custom field name (from 'pdffile' to something else) and the link caption.

Hi there,

I've read through the 'read more' post with interest, however I have a slightly different request.

I'd like to link the 'read more' button at the bottom of a portfolio item to a specific news story in each case. Not to the unique page but to automatically scroll down the main news page. I've achieved this on a php / html site before by use of # tags. Is there something similar I can do here?

Page for reference: http://bht-design.org.uk/portfolio/

Many thanks.
