I test that link on a live installation before posting so I know it does work when just added after the copyright notice or somewhere that isn't already inside a php wrapper. So when you self bump like that it actually puts the post in the back of the line and takes longer to get to you. As for the issue, I don't know where you commented that out from, but you should put it back.
