Hi,

There are certain search plugins that you can use to optimize the searching capability of Wordpress.

Regards,

I am hoping to find an answer to 2 questions:
1. Does the search function only look for the search terms in the Title & Main page content?
2. If so, is there a way that other content (such as the tags, categories etc.) can also be included in the searchable content?
(eg. so that products that are in a category with a name that matches the search query can be included in results?)

Unfortunately I can't include the url as the site is in staging and behind a coming soon page.
But I can explain through the propulsion theme demo.
If you search for "blog theme", which is one of the product categories, it does not pull up any of the products inside this product category.
I have tested on my install and it also does not use tags, attributes or the excerpt/short description - it only seems to use the title and main page content.
