Hey!

I think the smartest solution would be to create a css rule for only that page. The body classes are generated by wordpress and there are a few individual page classes for each page. just check the pages source code and then you are able to alter the column widths for only that page by putting the individual page class in front.

page classes should look something like this:

page page-id-17 page-template-default logged-in admin-bar

with

.page-id-17 .grid_fifth1{width:170px;}
.page-id-17 .grid_fifth2{width:420px;}

Hi Dude

Thanks for replying. That's actually what I did do initially but it doesn't work as my image slider isn't divided into 20-40-20-20 denominations.

In any other case, I'd just tweak the image slider to make the columns line up but this homepage design - unbelievably - has been through over 20 iterations (too many fingers in the pie in terms of making decisions about it) so it makes it almost impossible to adjust again.

I don't mind if when changing the column dimensions to fit the slider, it affects every other 4 col set up on the site as this is the only place I plan to use it.

I would be eternally grateful if you have any nifty way that I change it.

Many thanks

Hey,
you can create custom template with the "Template Builder". Go to your wp admin panel > Brightbox > Template Builder and create a new template. Add a slideshow element and a columns element to this template. For the column element select "4 columns" and as "column width" ans select 20% 40% 20% 20% (I think this is what you need). Then safe the template and apply it to any post/page of your choice.

Hi Kriesi

Absolutely love your themes. Ahead of the game, definitely.

I'm having a little difficulty with something in that I want to have specific column widths (4 cols) for a homepage I'm designing using the Brightbox theme but I'm not sure how/if it can be achieved.

I want 4 columns beneath a main image slider and they should have specific dimensions (170px, 420px, 170px, 170px).

Is it possible? As an example of what I want, you can see what I'm working on at http://webwunderland.com/mangobay/home. You'll see how I want to line them up with the images in the slider.

Many thanks and keep up the great work!

Shane
