Hey,

Just to clarify the only way to adjust the order of slides (currently) is by editing the date / time of publication. Bear in mind that you can adjust the time after the slider entry is published.

No, i don´t think there is another solution.

I do this by planning the post. I say wordpress: plan this slider on this date with this time. With this method the slider are a short time away from your website. I know this much effort, but i don´t know a other way. Sorry.

Hi emitremmus,

Yes, I know that is how it is currently being done in the Avisio theme. Unfortunately, I need a way to re-arrange the sliders after I have added them. The way I do it now is I just cut and paste the content and headings to notepad and then repaste them again in the proper order. I'm just thinking there should be a better way to do this.

Anyway, thanks for your reply. I might just leave the issue as is since I hopefully won't have to do that often.

Hello,

in my opinion you can handle this only by the date. So you have Slider One and say wordpress to Puplish this on a specific date. The other sliders you want to show after slider one, have to be publish earlier then Slider one. Do you understand?

Example for 4 Sliders

Slider one: Puplish 10. November 2010 14:00pm
Slider two: Puplish 10. November 2010 13:59pm
Slider three: Puplish 10. November 2010 13:58pm
Slider four: Puplish 10. November 2010 13:57pm

This slider you want to show at the end must be the first puplished in the Slider Entries Menu.

Is there a way to set the order in which slider entries appear on the main page?

The reason we need this facility is because the first few sliders are used to welcome visitors to the site, while the succeeding entries are for featured pages/posts/portfolios. So it makes sense to have allow of manual ordering.
