Hi tony77b,

I just tested the More tag in the most recent version of Habitat and didn't have any issues with the post being cut off properly and the Read More button appearing where I designated. Make sure your theme is up to date and that there are no plugins interfering or causing a conflict with the base theme functionality.

I will send a request for an additional admin feature to be added to automatically shorten the preview of posts to Kriesi. I'm not sure how to add this in without doing quite a bit of modification to the theme files since it doesn't run on the newer Avia framework.

Regards,

I need the same feature. I've inserted <!--more--> into the posts but the full posts are still appearing. Also, it's not ideal to have to manually insert this into every post.

The outcome I am looking for is the same as http://www.kriesi.at/themes/expose/blog/

I would be very grateful if this can be achieved by editing the blog template file so that this is implemented automatically and consistently for all posts.

Does anyone know how this can be done?

Hi Paddy,

You can use the More Tag to tell the theme where to break off the post and then display a read more button. Its the button in between the Links and Spellcheck in the visual editor. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+T

Regards,

Hi

I want to publish a blog post but only have a max of ten lines on the homepage followed by Read More.....

I know that is available with the standard wordpress theme.

Do you know if this is possible.

Thanks

Paddy
