Hi Michael,

I couldn't find any WooCommerce documentation on this either unfortunately. Looking through the most recent update of the plugin I don't see any options to display or not to display empty categories either so I'm not sure if the plugin has support for this or not. The only thing I can think that is related is in the Inventory tab and Out of stock visibility option.

Regards,

Hi Devin,

Just following up on this old post because I have the same issue. Any product category that does not include products does not show up on the category tree. I also need these 'empty' categories to appear.

Any ideas?

Best,

Michael

Hi nicolethompson11,

I'm not sure about this either. Have you tried creating the categories so far? I'm not even sure there is a check to see if a category has products or not.

Regards,

I apologise if this is a more general WooCommerce query and not an issue specific to Abundance, but I looked everywhere for support and could only find a WooCommerce log somewhere saying they enabled the ability to show empty product categories.

I'm just wondering if there is a setting that allows "empty" product categories to appear in menus/widgets/etc. I'm fairly sure my customer will have categories that occasionally don't have any current products in them, but won't want that category to disappear entirely from menus when the category is empty, making it seem as though they don't offer that category at all.

Please and thanks :)
