Hey,
imho the best solution would be to use widget logic: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widget-logic/ - it allows you to use widgets on specific pages, posts, categories, etc. only.

Hello:

I'm having some confusion using Menus and Widgets in Habitat.

I like the fact that you can customize the sidebars for each page.

But here's my problem: I have certain Widgets I want to be on every page(such as an advertising and search widget), and certain Widgets (such as custom menus) I only want to be on certain pages.

I really only have five or six classes of pages, but each of those classes needs a separate custom menu in the sidebar.

I put the Habitat Advertising Widget in Displayed Everywhere section, which works, until I use an Extra Widget Area for Specific Pages on a specific page. If I do that, everything from the Displayed Everywhere section disappears and is replaced by the contact from the Extra Widget Area for Specific Pages section.

Is there a way to have both at the same time?

Or, if I have to customize the sidebar for every page where I use the Extra Widget Area for Specific Pages option, is there a way to copy and paste the settings for, say, the Habitat Advertising Widget, so I don't have to reprogram it on each of my 30 or so pages?

Thanks in advance. I hope. My last question has yet to receive an attention from staff.
