Maybe my answer was more irritating than helpful so I'll post my suggestion again - add following to style.css (at the very bottom):

#top .sliderheading, .sliderheading {
    font-size: 11px !important;
    font-weight: bold !important;
}

Now it should work :)

Thank you so much for your patience. It was indeed possible to make the news headlines within the slideshow bold, but not without making all the titles on the whole page bold.

I only want the title for the news headlines WITHIN the slideshow to be that bold, like in this pic: http://www.barnsrattigheter.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/picture.bmp

Should I remove any part of the code that you posted, dude so that not all of the h1, h2, h3, h4, h5 and h6 are included for example?

Once again, thank you so much for your help!

I adjusted the code above a bit. Please try it again - I think following code "conflicted" with the modification I posted before:

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, legend, .sliderheading {
font-family:"Trebuchet MS",Arial,Helvetica,san-serif;
font-weight:normal;
letter-spacing:0.4px;
line-height:1.4em;
padding-bottom:5px;
position:relative;
}

I'd insert the code at the very bottom because of various reasons (updates, etc.)

Hello and thank you so much for your time.
It is actually not working :) Both of you have written "font-wieght" in your replies, but it is supposed to be "font-weight", right?

What I want is for the part in the red circle to be in bold:
http://www.barnsrattigheter.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/picture.bmp

I have tried both your advices. Dude, you wrote that I should add the code at the very bottom, but there is already a part in the middle of the code named "#top .sliderheading {". Should I delete that or make the changes there? What am I missing? :)

Thank you once again!

Hello James,

Thank you so much for your reply! However, I didn't mean the text that you see on the slide immediately when you visit the page, but the ones that are shown when you hover over the news slide and the sections glide apart. At that point, when you see an excerpt from a certain text, the title of it is so tiny and thin. I would love for that one to be bold. Is that possible?

Thank you once again and all the best,
Johanna

Hey,

In style.css around line 548 you should find this code:

#top .heading_clone {
    bottom: 20px;
    font-size: 13px;
    left: 20px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    z-index: 4;
}

You can make the text bold by adding font-weight: bold; like this:

#top .heading_clone {
    bottom: 20px;
    font-size: 13px;
    left: 20px;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    position: absolute;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    z-index: 4;
    font-wieght: bold;
}

In the slider excerpts at http:/www.barnsrattigheter.com I would love to change the headlines so that they are bold. Is it possible to make the headlines (within the slider, not the ones showing from the beginning) more prominent than the text?
I know how to make the headline bigger in #top .sliderheading in style.css, but I think that a fatter font would be better then a bigger.

Thank you and all the best,
Johanna Wester
