pictureme2 - Heh, yeah. The good ol' C64 is getting an update. Guess I should have written that one in english. If you'd like to mail me, there's a contact form on the About page of the blog ("O nas" page). There's also a source for the C64x at the bottom of the post if you want to find out more.

Hi,

First of all, sorry for posting here, I just realized that this post is for another theme. I probably didn't express myself correctly. What I would like is to have a few posts featured in an image slider on top of the blog (above the actual posts).

If I add more than one featured image for a post, they appear in a slider on a single post page (brilliantly executed, btw). That's great. But can I have something like that on the default blog page? My site is here, btw: http://www.baud.si (it's still work in progress).

Thanks!

Hey,
Broadscope should allow you to display featured slider images by adding them to the blog page directly. There's no need for a workaround.

Hi,

I just bought Broadscope theme and I love it. Finally some real plug and play experience. I'm using it for my tech blog so I mostly use just the blog page. Is there really no other way of inserting featured post slider into blog? I'm still a n00b at this and the sticky-post-code-changing-workaround looks a bit daunting.

Thanks!

Hey,
the blog page displays the images of your last post on the very top. So if your last post doesn't use featured images the blog page won't show a fullwidth slider. However a workaround can be foun in this thread: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/sliderpost-work-around

Basically the idea is to set one post to sticky and to add featured images to it. Then make same code modifications to index.php (see thread above) so that only the slider appears for this post.

I feel really silly for asking this but I've been trying to figure it out for the last few hours and can't!

How do you get the slider on the main blog page (spanning the whole width over the posts and sidebar boxes)? I've managed to get it up on my pages but not on the main blog page. There's obviously no place to insert featured pictures for the main blog page, so how do I go about adding the slider (preferably with pictures that link to posts/pages)?

Thanks so much!
