I'll tag Kriesi on it as a feature request though I'm not sure if it would be possible since those are queries and the other implementation that you are using are not. So it isn't really the same instance or usage.

Regards,

I understand now...
I thought overviews in dynamic templates had the same behavior.
I argued I can achieve what I need with direct text input and HTML, but it would be more quick and easy to have the same functioning extended also to these pages... can I hope in a future implementation?
Thanks for your time,
Francesco.

Hi Francesco,

I think the issue is that the pages are not actually using any of the overview style content pages. From the description next to the setting:

The default setting is: overview pages (eg Blog, Portfolio Overview) display the whole slideshow for each post.

You can change this so that overview pages always only display a single image. Only single entries will then show the whole slideshow

So if you had a portfolio page which was showing items from the portfolio, it would only show the first image. As is, you have columns pulling content from pages which will always show the full slideshow. This is because if you only want a single image, you don't need to pull the whole pages slideshow you can just use a single image for that column content by using the Direct Text Input and HTML for the image.

The same would be fore a Blog overview page that showed previews of blog posts.

Regards,

Devin

I didn't really get you when you suggest re-creating portfolio page... anyway I've sent you an email with credentials.
Thanks,
Francesco.

Sure thing, first try re-creating a portfolio page to see if re-creating it fixes the issue.

You can send the information to my email at DevinVinson (at) gmail.com. Make sure to include a link to this topic so that my spam filter doesn't grab it :)

Hi blueciccio,

If you have any plugins active, try disabling them then going into the options and changing that option to something else. Save, check an overview page and see if took effect. Make sure to refresh the page a few times to clear any local cache. Then go back to the options and change again to what you'd like and give it another test.

If all is working correctly, re-enable your plugins one by one to see which one was causing the issue.

Regards,
