Not sure if this is best practice, but it did work to solve the problem.

In the file template_fullwidth.php

Changed:

<?php
get_sidebar();

get_footer();
?>

TO

<?php
get_sidebar();

?>

We now have a clean https page, if someone could let me know if this is going to cause other problems like seo, analitics, or the world to stop spinning :) etc. I would appreciate it.

It works for us since the only place we are using the full width template is in the checkout page.

We are creating a Ecommerce system using newscast. I am just looking for a workaround or change to solve this error.

The thumbnail in the footer (we added the latest postings to a widget in our footer) is giving an error on the thumnail as not secure. It is calling it from the http side of the server not the https side.

We have the checkout page set as no sidebar (wide) so we could alter that to remove the footer. It is not needed on the checkout page. All other pages are two columns.

Other solutions would be to call any image thumbnail from the https side, we are open to an easy change. We set the featured image to https, but that did not solve the problem.

The site is http://www.ZigPosterman.com the problem can be recreated by selecting any product and proceeding to checkout.

Thanks for your help in the past and in advance on this issue.
