&#60;p&#62;I found the attribute group could not be named &#34;Category.&#34;  If I were to change it to &#34;Race Category&#34; or any other name it would work correctly.

&#60;p&#62;I took a look at the link but it popped up a 404. The Cold Weather Classic item seems to be showing the variations appropriately so it looks like you might have found success later on.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;As for the product variations, I believe WooCommerce will always default to not having an option selected.
