I solved the first issue using the solution posted by member melliott03 (http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/resizing-slider-1), by adding a preview image to the video; now the video plays inside the slideshow frame.

Regarding the featured image showing a stretched image, I solved it by using a 990x360 canvas and placing the image inside.

Thanks anyway,

Daniel

One more thing: if you look into the Our History page (http://barnard.phoenix-internet.net/?page_id=993), the featured image, originally 615x578 px is showing a stretched image of 990x577 (approximate height) instead of a rectangular thumb like in other themes, should be something around 615x200 or 615x215. Again, is sliding down the page content.

The enlargement via lightbox, however, shows the correct image size, 615x578

Hi danielsami,

Do you have a link to the live site we can take a look at? I think we'll need to inspect the code to get an idea of whats going on.

Regards,

Hello,

Working with Flaghship, by the way, an awesome theme!

I have trouble with the size of videos added to the home page slideshow (featured image). I'm using the full embed code with width and height sizes. However, when the slideshow comes to the video, it shows an almost square size, approximately 990x450. That slides the whole page content down while the video is on screen. Even when I use the right framed option, the video still goes 990x450 (height is approx.)

Any ideas? Thanks!
