Hi hsaleem1,

It looks like variable products don't follow the same coding as the simple products for populating the image variable needed for the search results thumb. It might be added in at a later update but I know Kriesi has a solid list of bugs on the various themes to tackle first :)

Regards,

OBSERVATION:

I use WooCommerce on another site (http://bombaysupplies.com) that has a custom theme as well, and the products do have custom attributes too. However, search DOES show product images.

Hi hsaleem1,

I'll forward the issue to Kriesi. It may (or may not) be something he can modify with the theme files as almost everything to do with the shop content is generated and handled by the WooCommerce plugin. Either way we will let you know asap :)

Regards,

Please see this link: http://silkplasters.in/?s=pink

The behaviour of the search results page is very eccentric. It shows images next to search results for some, and ignores it for other products. All products are identical, except some have custom product attributes set in WooCommerce (and these are the ones that don't get their images displayed in search).

Any ideas on how to fix this?

UPDATE1: I tried to disable Relevanssi and search, but the problem is still there. It may be related to setting custom attributes in products, as those are the only ones that don't show images next to headings in search.
- example a: http://silkplasters.in/?s=silk+mono (all results show images, as product attributes are NOT SET for this range)
- example b: http://silkplasters.in/?s=airline (none of the results show images, as product attributes are SET for this range)
