If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I’m sorry for the question but I don’t understand what is the “alternate content” between main content and footer in styling menu.
And after that, I’m trying to understand whay I have not the same colors style of my twitter widget title and links in my footer, than in my sidebar.
I’m lost… Thanks
Can you post a link to your site? so we can inspect it further.
Thanks for your answer. It’s an INTRAnet website and I can’t give you an access…
Maybe first you can just explain me what is the Alternate content? (not alternate content for links and mouse hover, but the main tab “alternate content” in styling options. Any change in this area is not visible… and I can’t found any information on this in documentation file.
Thank you in advance.
He means the elements you can add to a template (builder)
Page split > Alternate Content
Think it is where you can paste / insert customize html code to display on the designated page?
As Kiwy said, Alternate content is a designation you can give a page split in your template builder. Its just a way to make a part of a page stand out a bit and give you access to styling it from the Styling tab.
Other elements will be styled different based on their location on the page (header/footer/sidebar) so if you want to style one piece individually it may need to be done with a bit of custom css and not available as a specific option in the Styling tab.
