14th Update for Shoutbox Theme?

Hi. I'm building a site using Shoutbox purchased from Theme Forest.
Just re-visited Shoubox page on Theme Forest, and notice there was a message as follows:

"Mai 14th Update: we have updated the framework folder across all of our WordPress Themes for security and new functionality! Go get it now"

Does this mean I should download the latest version from my Download page on Theme Forest, and install onto my WP?
Exactly how to update the theme manually? As most of my other themes give an alert whenever there is a theme update, and it automatically update itself without me manually downloading and uploading the latest version.

So I'm not sure how or what to do about it.
Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Sleepy,

You can manually update the theme by uploading the new shoutbox folder into the Wordpress files of your online site. You would upload it at ../wp-content/themes/shoutbox.

**BEFORE you do this I would back up (make a copy of) the existing shoutbox folder in your online site, so that you do not lose anything should it crash or you have a problem afterwards. You might also need to copy your custom.css file from the old folder into the new folder, if you have changed the default css at all. All your images and plugins are stored in separate folders ("uploads" and "plugins") away from the shoutbox theme folder, so in theory you shouldn't need to touch them.

Once the new theme files are uploaded, you might need to reactivate the theme inside the Wordpress dashboard once again.

@sleepydays: just follow rumblefish's instruction or unzip the file you have downloaded from themeforest and you should see the documentation packaged inside it. :)
