4 columns in footer

   Hi

   I try to create another column in footer area (3 is default) to display some widgets. I added code "register_sidebar" to register "Footer - Column 4" in widgets.php
   In footer.php I changed div class="one_third" to "one_fourth" , but I do not know, how to change "$columns" value (or other variables).
