Today, after logging in to my WordPress site using the Brightbox theme as an administrator, I constantly get the “403 Permission Denied” screen after trying to make various changes on my site. This never happened in the past.
I have rolled back to a backed up version of my site from the previous day and also rolled back to WordPress version 3.5.1 and deleted plugins that I thought could have been the source if this issue. I also tried deactivating all plugins but the issue remains.
Could you advise a course of action?
I guess this is a server configuration problem (htaccess file) – maybe the article ( http://www.ait-pro.com/aitpro-blog/3429/misc-projects/wordpress-tips-tricks-fixes/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -troubleshooting/ ) helps you to fix the issue.
