    My client would like the 404 page to have his left hand side bar displayed on the 404 page.

    Currently, it is displaying Categories and Archive which I assume is meant for the blog side of things (not used).

    Please could you let me know as to how I can make his left hand menu display instaed of what is there now.

    an example can be seen here of the current 404 can be seen here:

    an example of what he would like shown can be seen here:

    the 404 sidebar just shows the standard “dummy” widgets. You can change the code in sidebar.php. Open up the file and search for following code:

    <div class='box box_small'>
    <?php wp_list_cats('sort_column=name&optioncount=0&hierarchical=0'.$exclude); ?>

    <div class='box box_small'>
    <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?>

    You can replace this code with any other code of your choice.

    Great! That sounds easy enough…

    But how do I get the site’s left hand menu to show in its place??

    not to worry…. figured it out!!

    Thanks Again!

    Good to see you’ve solved it :)
