    Hi,

    Maybe some of these are already addressed in other forum areas:

    1. How to change colour and border thickness on the Mega Menu?

    2. When on a Subpage how can I have the main menu item highlighted?

    3. When creating a text block description in the Mega Menu, I need to add some text with a carriage return after each line . Is there any way to do this? (ie. I am adding contact details and the phone and fax numbers need to be in separate lines)

    3. How to remove Search and RSS on top right and replace the whole area with one big banner ad? And what about size restrictions? Or one one complete image that includes Logo?

    4. How to add a left sidebar menu that mimicks the main menu when on the sub page?

    Thanks for the help and again if these questions are answered elsewhere, please direct me to them.

    Hey,

    1) Add following code to css/custom.css and adjust the padding values:

    .avia_mega1, .avia_mega2, .avia_mega3, .avia_mega4, .avia_mega5{
    padding: 8px;
    }

    #top .avia_mega > li > ul, #top .avia_mega > li > ul ul{
    padding: 8px;
    }

    2) WP provides several classes to style current menu items and the parents/ancestors of this item – i.e. use:

    .avia_mega .current-menu-ancestor{
    color: #ff0000;
    }

    .avia_mega .current-menu-parent[
    color: #ff0000;
    }

    .avia_mega .current-menu-item[
    color: #ff0000;
    }

    To style the current item and its main menu parent.

    3) At the moment the main menu doesn’t support html tags because WP strips them.

    4) Open up header.php and replace:

    <ul class="social_bookmarks">
    <li class='rss'><a href="<?php bloginfo('rss2_url'); ?>">RSS</a></li>
    <?php
    if($twitter = avia_get_option('avia, twitter')) echo "<li class='twitter'><a href='http://twitter.com/".$twitter."'>Twitter</a></li>";
    if($facebook = avia_get_option('avia, facebook')) echo "<li class='facebook'><a href='".$facebook."'>Twitter</a></li>";
    ?>
    </ul>
    <!-- end social_bookmarks-->

    with:

    <div class="banner">
    your text or image
    <img src="my-banner.jpg" alt="banner" title="banner" />
    </div>

    and in custom.css add:

    .banner {
    position: absolute;
    right:0px;
    top: 90px;
    }

    You can adjust the position by changing the top and the right value.

    5) You can use a custom menu widget and the menu manager (Appearance > Menus) to createa menu. A small css fix is required though: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/menu-on-sidebar#post-17463

    Cheers Dude,

    Helped me out a lot. But one thing on question 1. How do you change the colour of the border in Mega Menu?

    #48522

    Add following css code to css/custom.css:

    .avia_mega1, .avia_mega2, .avia_mega3, .avia_mega4, .avia_mega5, .avia_mega > li > ul, .avia_mega > li > ul ul{
    border-color: #999;
    }

    and change the color value :)
