Just updated to WooCommerce 1.6.4. Since the update, the product pages now show 2 duplicate instances of the “upsells” section. The Woocommerce update mentions that the new version attempted to move the upsell box above the related products box. I’m assuming the glitch has something to do with this change. Is there a solid fix I can apply other than hidding in CSS or not including an upsells? Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/YcqdV.jpg
Was able to fix it by removing the new woocommerce hook in the template. Not sure how sustainable the fix is though. But seems to work fine.
Step 1. Open /abundance/woocommerce-config/config.php
Step 2. Add following line to “//single page removes” section on top 1/4 of page:
Adding this removes new WC1.6.4 hook that places upsell box outside of the product summary section
Step 3. Switched order of include hooks in //single page adds section to place upsells above related:
add_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary', 'avia_woocommerce_output_upsells', 60);
add_action( 'woocommerce_single_product_summary','avia_woocommerce_output_related_products', 60);
it worked great thank you very much.
Besides, I’d like to know if it’s possible to create a secondary “upsell product” space/ category which I would name differently to be displayed at the bottom of the first one?
To be clearer I want to present same range product on one hand, and on the other hand “what could fit with”.
Do you think it’s possible?
No, this is currently not possible without some custom coding.
