    Hi,

    Please can someone help… I need to add an additional social media button to the footer in Display. I have seen how to replace an existing button but need to add a linkedin one.

    Please can someone point me in the right direction with the code to achieve this?

    Regards,

    Paul

    Hey,

    Once you have an icon selected and it’s been placed in the appropriate images folder, the easy way to set this up is to duplicate in the CSS files to refer to the new image.

    In footer.php, add this code immediately before the closing UL of the footer icons:

    <li class='linked-in'><a class='ie6fix' href='#link'>linked in</a></li>

    In your stylesheet (this depends on your chosen colour scheme but should be either style1/2/3.css in the CSS folder), copy this code immediately under your existing icons CSS:

    .wrapper #footer .social_bookmarks .flickr a{background: transparent url(../images/skin1/linked_in_16.png) 0 0 no-repeat;}

    This will only work if the image is in the correct folder referenced in the CSS, in this case /images/skin1. You can put the image wherever you want but you need to update the path for it to work correctly.

    Thanks James,

    I had to change the reference in the CSS .wrapper to be .linked-in rather than .flickr… but other than that does the trick.

    Regards,

    Paul.
