    My client would like his single portfolio ‘pages’ to include the Header + (Social Media and Search Bar), with the header being a ‘fixed’ title.

    For instance, if you look at this page: http://real-self-defense.com/self-defense-tips/ – he would like to have ‘Self-Defense Tips’ + Social Media/Search Bar that appears on this page also appear between the Logo/Menu block and portfolio item content block on all his individual portfolio ‘Tips’ pages.

    See http://real-self-defense.com/free-self-defense-tips/self-defense-tip-64/ as an example of the current individual portfolio item.

    I presume this would require editing either or both the loop-portfolio-single.php and single-portfolio.php. Could you kindly show me the necessary php to accomplish this?

    Thanks and cheers, Joel

    Unfortunately the single portfolio template does not support this headline out of the box. You can try to replace following code line in single-portfolio.php :

    get_template_part( 'includes/loop', 'portfolio-single' );

    with:

    avia_title();
    get_template_part( 'includes/loop', 'portfolio-single' );

    but I’m not sure if everything will display properly or if you need to make some custom css code, etc. adjustments.

    Almost have this working, but could use a little more help. Your single-portfolio.php replacement code does display the search and social icon bar (Yeah!), BUT it also includes the Portfolio Post title so essentially the title is duplicated in the left column and ALSO in the search/social bar. Would you be able to give me a code tweak that could remove the ‘extra’ title (so it does not appear in the search/social bar)?

    Thank you for your excellent support Dude. Great to see such good customer service for this theme! Cheers, Joel

    Hey!

    In functions.php replace:

    echo '<h1 class="page-title meta-color">'.$title.'</h1>';

    with

    if( get_post_type() != 'portfolio' )
    {
    echo '<h1 class="page-title meta-color">'.$title.'</h1>';
    }

    Best regards,

    Peter
