    Hi – I have been researching how to add a social media icon to the top right header. Here is the website I am working on.

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    I see 2 social media icons on top right header. Is it that you want to add more icons or move them somewhere?

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

    I have two then there’s a space then the search bar. Can you help me figure out how to add the icon? The “Houzz” image doesn’t show up? Thanks!

    Hi,

    This is the empty space http://50.87.167.161/~mcdouga4/wp-content/themes/corona/images/skin-minimal/delimiter-menu.png . i dont see your icon here.

    Upload the icon using media in the backend, don’t just drop it into a folder because when you update the theme it will be get erased unlike image uploaded via media.

    Add the url for icon to URL TO IMAGE in the code below. and add to your /css/custom.css file

    .social_bookmarks .houzz a{background: transparent url(URL TO IMAGE) 0 0  no-repeat;}

    In header.php on line 141 please paste this (line after facebook social)

    echo '<li class="houzz"><a class="ie6fix" href="http://www.houzz.com/pro/mcdougalarchitects151/mcdougal-architects">Houzz</a></li>';

    Thanks,

    Nick

    One other quick question, how do I get rid of the yellow description when hovering over the photo – for example, Wellesley?

    Hi,

    Inside each img tag there is a property called title

    img src=”url to image” title=”this image is cool”

    What you are seeing is the title.

    You can add this piece of jquery somewhere to the footer.php file on an empty line

    <script type="text/javascript">
    jQuery('document').ready(function($){
    $('[title]').removeAttr('title');
    });
    </script>

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Glad it worked out for you. Just be careful with Google.

    Thanks,

    Nick
