Hello I am trying to add a widget requested by the client to the homepage. It is the Facebook Likebox. I would like to put it either in the footer or next to the testimonials in place of an additional page. Are either of these possible?

You can create widget areas for the footer: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/add-widgets-to-the-footer-i-need-help or you can embed widgets in the content by using plugins like: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/amr-shortcode-any-widget/
