Adding custom field to billing and shipping

Hi,
I need to add a custom field where customers can type in their requested Delivery Date as well as a "Message" for their card. (My site is a flower shop website).
Is there a plug in where I can add a calendar so they can choose a date on the calendar and at the very least how do I create a
field that says something along the lines of "Type Card Message Here."

There's also this blurb under my Cart page that reads:
"shipping and taxes are estimated and will be updated during checkout...."
The blub appears at the bottom of the Cart page.
Could you please tell me how I can get rid of it as it doesn't apply to my customers.

Add this to your custom.css or Quick CSS:

    display: none;
}
```
