    With all of the blank space on the search bar, it seems that a newsletter signup form would fit nicely there. If I had the HTML for this, would this be easy to add?

    Hey!

    Yes, it’s possible. You’d need to edit the avia_title function located in functions.php, line 176.

    If you could provide us the HTML we can help you with that.

    Cheers!

    It’s your typical MailChimp signup form:

    <!-- Begin MailChimp Signup Form -->
    <link href="//cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/slim-081711.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <style type="text/css">
    	#mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; }
    </style>
    <div id="mc_embed_signup">
    <form action="http://graymachine.us3.list-manage2.com/subscribe/post?u=230710e3504d7009fadb06d4e&id=5df8a3bf60" method="post" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" class="validate" target="_blank" novalidate>
    	<label for="mce-EMAIL">Subscribe to our mailing list</label>
    	<input type="email" value="" name="EMAIL" class="email" id="mce-EMAIL" placeholder="email address" required>
        <!-- real people should not fill this in and expect good things - do not remove this or risk form bot signups-->
        <div style="position: absolute; left: -5000px;"><input type="text" name="b_230710e3504d7009fadb06d4e_5df8a3bf60" tabindex="-1" value=""></div>
        <div class="clear"><input type="submit" value="Subscribe" name="subscribe" id="mc-embedded-subscribe" class="button"></div>
    </form>
    </div>

    <!--End mc_embed_signup-->

    Put the following code right here:

    ?>
    <!-- Begin MailChimp Signup Form -->
    <link href="//cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/slim-081711.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <style type="text/css">
    	#mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; }
    </style>
    <div id="mc_embed_signup">
    <form action="http://graymachine.us3.list-manage2.com/subscribe/post?u=230710e3504d7009fadb06d4e&id=5df8a3bf60" method="post" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" class="validate" target="_blank" novalidate>
    	<label for="mce-EMAIL">Subscribe to our mailing list</label>
    	<input type="email" value="" name="EMAIL" class="email" id="mce-EMAIL" placeholder="email address" required>
        <!-- real people should not fill this in and expect good things - do not remove this or risk form bot signups-->
        <div style="position: absolute; left: -5000px;"><input type="text" name="b_230710e3504d7009fadb06d4e_5df8a3bf60" tabindex="-1" value=""></div>
        <div class="clear"><input type="submit" value="Subscribe" name="subscribe" id="mc-embedded-subscribe" class="button"></div>
    </form>
    </div>

    <!--End mc_embed_signup-->
    <?php

    And add this to the Quick CSS:

    #mc_embed_signup {
        position: absolute;
        top: -20px;
        left: 0;
        background: transparent !important;
    }
    #mc_embed_signup label {
        padding-bottom: 0 !important;
    }
    #mc_embed_signup input {
        padding: 6px 0 !important;
        background: #f8f8f8;
        border-color: #e1e1e1 !important;
    }

    Thanks! I am so close.. No matter what I do.. no matter how small I make the newsletter subscribe section, it drops the other stuff down. Is there any way to fix this? Or is it just how it is integrating these two elements…

    Hi!

    Don’t forget to add the CSS code (Quick CSS):

    #mc_embed_signup {
        position: absolute;
        top: -20px;
        left: 0;
        background: transparent !important;
    }
    #mc_embed_signup label {
        padding-bottom: 0 !important;
    }
    #mc_embed_signup input {
        padding: 6px 0 !important;
        background: #f8f8f8;
        border-color: #e1e1e1 !important;
    }

    Cheers!

    Sure.. actually, I’ve got it in there…but the field doesn’t seem editable. Is it for you?

    I’m asking for an account on your WordPress installation so i can try to debug the problem. You can create one in Users > Add new, after you done that put the login details here as a private reply.

    I understand.. you posted that after I found an error that I was introducing. I got the newsletter placed, but it wasn’t editable in the browser. I’ll just go ahead and make the account. Stand by…

    What was the fix? Just so I understand (and/or did something incorectly)

    Thanks again for your help!

    #282763

    Annd… of course it overlaps with other page titles:

    I am all for eliminating these page titles on every page. I don’t think they serve much purpose. I’ll poke around and see if the answer already exists on the forum.

    Hi!

    Titles are removed now:

    You can check the fixes i’m using in the Quick CSS area.

    Josue
