Adding Image to 'above' footer

Hi All,

I would like to add a repeatable image to the top of the footer in the propulsion theme, or just above it, to act as a border to the footer, part of it is transparent, which means I would like to to sit 'above' the footer, and the transparent parts just show the background colour of the main body.

I have got the image to appear in the footer, but it is appearing at the top of the footer, and not directly above it.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could do this, and where I should add it into the code?

I could probably have a workaround where I just make the transparent parts of the image the same colour as the main body background, I do it using:
background: url(image.png) repeat-x top; float:left; width:100%; padding-top:4.5em;
within the #footer part of the css..
However, this removes the bottom socket from the website, which I would like!

Does anyone know why this happens? And ideally a solution where the image can be transparent and not hide the socket, but if anyone knows how to just display the socket with the above css, then i'd be happy enough!

Can you post a link please - I need to investigate the css code myself. I'm not sure if it's possible. Probably you just need to add a minimum height to your footer dic because the image is too height and therefore it also covers the socket area.

I would like to add an image to the background of the footer in abundance... so the text is above it. Where can I add this in the css and how. Many thanks

You can add a background with following css code (I'd add it to the quick css field or css/custom.css):
```
#footer {
    background: #2C3547;
}
```
