So I’ve got my homepage set up relatively close to the way I want it. One thing I’m struggling with is applying different styles to different pieces of the homepage. I’ve got a two column content chunk that is pulling in most recent posts on the left and most recent portfolio items on the right (I didn’t use portfolio intentionally, just thought the styling classes might be different).

I’d like to be able to make the right hand column items a different style than the left column items (adjust text size, color, perhaps the content pieces that are displayed).

Can anyone give me any feedback on how to adjust these things?

You can view a test page here:

    Thanks!

    Hi graim,

You can use css to style them differently. Then add the css to your custom.css file (in the css folder of the theme files) or Quick CSS field in the Styling tab of the theme options.

There is a video link posted here on using Firebug for Firefox to modify and customize theme styles that will help: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/fyi-firebug-tutorial-for-wordpress-users

    Regards,
