I would like to know how to hide emails from the comments. Some people are uncomfortable with that. Also, is there a way to add FB/Twitter buttons that link to the fan pages? Thank you!July 20, 2010 at 9:56 am #29963
The emails are not displayed anyway, dont know where you show them? :) The default theme behaviour is to ask for the email as a anti spam meassure and then hide it :)
If you want to add a fb/twitter button for your site I would recommend to add it directly to the footer.php fileJuly 20, 2010 at 11:16 pm #29964
Is there a way to let people know that the email will not be displayed? Cant seem to find the code to edit the text. Thanks!July 21, 2010 at 11:25 am #29965
Again strange since that should be displayed at the label besides the form elements. however you can edit the form output at comments.php at line 66July 24, 2010 at 5:17 pm #29966
Thank you very much for taking the time to help me. I apologize as I am very new to this and learning. :) On my home page is there a way to have my categories listed in the bottom left? I can’t figure out how to make the categories their own tab. I am sure it is something simple.July 27, 2010 at 4:45 pm #29967
Hi, How do I make the page fullwidth?
I tried to follow this but need something more specific….
you need to create a new template file and add the wordpress comment header to name that file:
Template Name: Full Width
after that is done paste the content from page.php and remove the function call get_sidebar()
now search for the div that has the class .content_border ans wraps arround the div with class .content.
add id=”fullwidth” to the first. now you can change the width of both of these divs via css:
#fullwidth and #fullwidth .contentNovember 13, 2011 at 5:17 am #29968
need your help to fix this problem with (i think on the plug in) that sudently is messing up my site hp displaying pictures http://transportenewyork.com/
thank youNovember 13, 2011 at 11:55 am #29969
the timthumb script returns an error in your case: http://transportenewyork.com/wp-content/themes/amplify/timthumb.php?src=/http://transportenewyork.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/basquete1.jpg&w=66&h=44&zc=1
Try to deactivate all plugins and check if the site works again. If not use a ftp software like filezilla, navigate to the theme folder and set the cache folder permission to 777.November 13, 2011 at 11:27 pm #29970
Thanks for your reply. I have tried both suggestions but none worked. I desperate need to resolve this problem. please help. Much appreciated.November 14, 2011 at 6:52 am #29971
I can’t find an obvious reason why it stopped working. Maybe contact the hoster if they changed something or try to upload all theme files again (sometimes a script file can be corrupt). Or try to replace the timthumb.php file: (themes/amplify/timthumb.php) with the latest version from here: http://timthumb.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/timthumb.phpNovember 15, 2011 at 5:36 am #29972
Yeah, the quickest solution was replacing the theme and obviously updating the timthumb.php
Many thanks again for all the help.November 15, 2011 at 7:20 am #29973
