Tagged: anchor, link, new window Viewing 2 posts - 1 through 2 (of 2 total) Author Posts August 23, 2013 at 12:00 pm #28317 ChrisParticipant Hi, I have created a long page with anchor links in it: a 3 column part with my newsletter form in on of the columns: <a>Newsletter</a> and on the bottom of the page in a color section (Avia Layout Builder) an anchor link, so that the user, clicking on this link, will get to this part of the page, where the form is: ... meinen <a href="#newsletterabo">Newsletter</a> abonnieren ... The anchor itself works fine – however, when clicking on this link, then it opens a new browser tab with my site in it – although I’ve tried to fix it with a target=”_self” … it doesn’t help. I’ve created a test page without using the Avia Layout Builder – but here it’s the same: anchor links are opening in new browser tab. Any idea? Thanks. August 23, 2013 at 12:14 pm #137217 ChrisParticipant [SOLVED] It was a setting in the Plugin “SEO SMART LINKS”, that was set to open links in external windows. I deleted this and now all works fine.
