To me it appears as if the comments are skewed and the spacing is off, any way to fix this and it display better?

Hi Aaron,
Kriesi always designs with the gravatars on or at least the placeholders. Just go to Wordpres Settings>Discussion then scroll down to Avatars and select the Blank Default Avatar (or whatever you would like). Save and that should fix it :)
