If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I tried to translate my site with qTranslate, but the plug-in shortcode (es.: <!–:en–>Content EN<!–:–><!–:es–>Contenido ES<!–:–>) doesn’t work with text area like “Subtitle” in Pages Setting or in Theme Options.
So, now I’m trying with WPML Multilingual Plugin, but when I translate a page in second language, theme functions in page setting doesn’t work, es: Layout and Subtitles setting.
As far as I know there’s a “Duplicate Button: http://www.clipular.com/c?6460588859326464=nhKXUaqD_3Y4lktpu9HGzqeELoo&f=.png which helps you to copy the entire post data to the translated post. Afterwards you just need to click the “Translate Independently” button: http://www.clipular.com/c?5987066567458816=1wEH-lhA7UwQw1JjvUaUZht13Es&f=.png to translate the post.
Wait – I noticed that WPML Multilingual Plugin can make trouble if you use the duplicate feature. Try following fix – open up angular/functions.php and replace
if(isset($avia_config['use_child_theme_functions_only'])) return; add_theme_support('avia_post_meta_compat');
