The available plugins (“Google XML Sitemaps” and “Google XML Sitemap for Videos”) do not ‘see’ any of the “portfolio items” or any of the “embedded” videos that are played in the ‘ajaxed'(?) player. (http://visualimpactsystems.com/sitemap.xml
Can the search engine actually ‘see’ these? If not, is there anything we can do, so our site will be seen for the large size that it really is? We have 40 “dynamic templates” with over 400 “portfolio items” (70 videos).
Also, we would also like to create a sitemap for all our the images (of our products and previous work), that are ‘ajaxed’/PrettyPhoto when viewed (which is 1,681 images as of now).
yes – the search engines can index the content of the single portfolio entries and they’ll also index the youtube/vimeo videos. If you want to add these videos to a xml sidemap I recommend to use http://yoast.com/wordpress/video-seo/ and http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-seo/ – Yoast Video supports embeds out of the box and if you want to use it with your slideshow videos follow the instructions here: http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/ (Purchase code hidden if logged out) -kriesis-themes
