Hi everyone!! As a newby to wordpress, I’ve spent a few months getting to grips with it on a local server before uploading to the web. Its fantastic and I love the Angular theme! One issue I’m having is on the contact page. The autoresponder doesn’t seem to be working at all. In the theme options, I have left the autoresponder as ‘Thanks for your message. We aim to respond to all enquiries with 48 hours’ but this message isn’t being sent. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions to what is wrong?

    Regards

    Chris

    Any ideas?

    Hi iamtherock03,

I believe the form uses the built in wp mail function which requires: “SMTP and smtp_port need to be set in your php.ini”.

Is the normail form submission working fine, ie you are getting mail from form submissions?

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hi Devin.

I am getting an email about the enquiry (straight to my junk folder) but the person that submits the form is not getting the auto respose email.

    Is that what you mean?

    Regards

    Chris

    Hey!

I tagged this post for Kriesi’s attention because I can’t reproduce this issue. Make sure that you have the “E-Mail” text field (as part of the contact form) and that you didn’t rename it.

    Regards,

    Peter

Hi, I have spoken to the domain host and they have managed to sort this. Thanks for your help.

    Hi iamtherock03,

Great! I’m glad it was able to be sorted out.

    Regards,

    Devin
