I want to add a video to the home page slider. However I read the documentation and it shows this being done using post thumbs etc.. There is only a featured image selection. I tried using the media uploader URL tab to paste in a url but nothing happened how do I do this. I need this to work.

Go to slider entries > Add New. Name the new slider entry as you like (choose an description etc.). Under
"Optional URL
URL the Slide gets linked to"choose "Link manually" and enter the url to your flv video in the field which appears under the drop down list.
i.e. like:
http://www.kriesi.at/themes/cleancut/files/2010/06/cloud.flvSave the entry and your video should appear in the slider...
