    Hi,

    I know this has been posted before, but I am at my wits end and I can’t make this work through the custom css file,

    I have been working on it for HOURS and can’t get it to work right.

    I have pasted this into the custom CSS file:

    #header, #footer, {

    background:url(http://areaone.amylondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/bg.jpg);

    background-repeat:repeat;

    }

    The picture is up there, I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

    I even tried this but it didn’t work:

    #header, #footer, {

    background:url(../../../uploads/2012/02/bg.jpg);

    background-repeat:repeat;

    }

    Pretty please, help!

    Hey,

    try following code in css/custom.css:

    #header, #footer{
    background:url("http://areaone.amylondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/bg.jpg") repeat !important;
    }

    Hello and thank you for the prompt response, I sincerely appreciate it!

    Unfortunately that didn’t work, any other ideas on what I should try?

    according to firebug, one comma can make a big difference… ;-)

    Code:
    #header, #footer {
    background-image: url(“http://areaone.amylondon.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/bg.jpg”);
    }

    as soon as I enter that in firebug, your site looks right to me

    cheers & good luck

    Martin-

    BRILLIANT, thank you!! Oh my goodness it’s excruciating when I get ‘brain-lock’ and can’t see things like that.

    Thanks so much.

    Thanks Martin for spotting the syntax mistake.
