If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I just wanted to get my head around how it works properly with the background. Is there a preferred resolution size so that it fits most screens with minimum cropping?
My clients want to use the background slider to show images that can’t really be cropped. But no matter what sizes I make the images, they get cropped in some way that makes it unusable to me.
Also the top keeps shifting up, is there anyway to change the code so that the image stays where it is on the left side and the top and the resizing of the image will happen via the bottom and right side if that makes any sense at all?
Any help would be much appreicated!
I use images that are 1200×1024 or higher just so people with larger resolutions won’t have such a pixelation/blur when the image is stretched to match the screen size.
Remember you do have the option under Flashlight > General Settings called Background Gallery Image Cropping/resizing. The default is “Images should be scaled to fit, with cropping” but you also have the option of display without cropping.
As far as the top keeps shifting, can you post a link to the website or a screenshot? I’m not sure what you’re talking about here.
