    Hi. I searched on the pre-sales site of the Incarnation Template but I couldn’t find any information on the recommended browsers for this template. Please advise as to which browsers this template has been built on or is best viewed on. We are seeing a difference in the way it acts on IE 7 versus Chrome or IE10. The Social Media icons in the header won’t open to another tab as it will in the earlier version of IE7. Thanks for your help! Our site is currently http://www.terriblemeek.com/HOL-WP.

    Hi HOLM2014!

    The theme will run on IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome. There will be difference in how it looks and acts on older browsers that do not support media queries for the responsive design and that don’t support css3 elements (like the rounded borders, shadows etc).

    Regards,
    Devin

    Thanks Devin! We had an issue with a user running IE7 where the FB icons in the header opened in a separate tab but the newer browsers don’t. Thanks again!

    Hi!

    You can edit includes > helper-social-media.php, find this code on line 63:

    $html .= "<a href='".$icon['social_icon_link']."'>".ucfirst($icon['social_icon'])."</a>";

    Replace it with:

    $html .= "<a target='_blank' href='".$icon['social_icon_link']."'>".ucfirst($icon['social_icon'])."</a>";

    Please check the IE7 browser options handling of links. Maybe it is set to open links on a new tab.

    1. Open IE.
    2. Click Tools (or the gear symbol in IE9).
    3. Click Internet Options.
    4. Click Settings under the General tab.
    5. Select Always open pop-ups in new tab.
    6. Click OK until you are back in your browser.

    Cheers!
    Ismael
