    Hi guys,

    How can I put a BIG TITLE at the top of my blog page in Flashlight? Anything I enter in the body text doesn’t appear on the page.

    Hey graphicsplus!

    Can you post the link to your website please?

    Regards,
    Yigit

    Hey!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS in Flashlight theme options under Styling tab and adjust as needed

    .blog .content div.box:before {
    content: 'blog title';
    font-size: 30px;
    color: black;
    }

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

    That does give me a beginning, but what I’m really looking for is to have the same standard heading as the ‘Default Layout Big (Content + big title)’ of a standard page has. So I would need to have the title centered and in the same Heading Font (Oswald) as I’ve set in the Styling Options with the same padding beneath it…

    You can look at my ‘VOORBEELD’ page to see what I’m looking for.

    Also I would like to be able to select the categories that are displayed on my blog page. How can I achieve that? I can’t find any tools to define my blog settings anywhere except in the widgets. Am I missing something?

    Hey!

    Thank you for the update.

    Please add this on functions.php:

    add_action('wp_head','hook_google_font');

    function hook_google_font()
    {

    $output="<link href='http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Oswald' rel='stylesheet' type='text/css'>";

    echo $output;

    }

    Edit Yigit’s code, replace it with this:

    .blog .content div.box:before {
    content: 'Concerten';
    font-size: 68.9px;
    color: black;
    font-family: 'Oswald', sans-serif;
    margin: 0 auto;
    margin: 20px 0 40px 0;
    display: block;
    text-align: center;
    text-transform: uppercase;
    }

    Cheers!
    Ismael

    Hey Ismael,

    Thanks, that looks a bit better, but the ‘Oswald’ font doesn’t appear. It’s still standard Helvetica. Also, on other pages the heading is followed by a divider with a horizontal rule. I would like that here as well.

    It seems like an awful lot of work for a simple headline. Isn’t there a way to get the blog onto a page with standard formatting so I can just add text in the normal way? It works fine on the portfolio page.

    Hey!

    Please go to Flashlight theme options > Styling > Heading Font and choose No custom font and it should work fine

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hmm, that would change the complete look of my website… Besides when I do that on mouse-over the link gets a red underline but the text stays black.

    Hi!

    It is using the Oswald font. Please remove browser cache then reload the page a few times:

    Cheers!

    I’m sorry, I think two of my support questions have become mixed up. The heading already looks fine now.

    Just one more thing. On other pages the heading is followed by a divider with a horizontal rule [hr]. How can I get that on this page as well?

    #291486

    Hey!

    Please add following code to Quick CSS

    .page-id-196 .content div.box:before {
    margin: 20px 0 60px 0;
    background-image: url(http://www.hetkoordenbosch.nl/wp-content/themes/flashlight/images/skin-minimal/hr.png);
    background-position: 50% 100%;
    height: 100px;
    background-repeat: no-repeat;
    }

    Cheers!
