If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I am trying to get the Blog on my frontpage.
In WordPress Settings > Reading I have ‘Frontpage displays latest posts’
In the Theme settings I have the frontpage left Blank.
What happens now is that my Homepage is showing my Blog but if I press Blog in the menu I get an empty page with only the title ‘Blog’.
I can overrule this by setting a static frontpage in WordPress Settings, . But this leaves me with an empty homepage as well. Not showing any posts.
Can anyone please have a look. Happy to give my login.
If I’m following you correctly, your frontpage is going to be the Blog. If that’s the case, why not remove the extra Blog page from the menu and use “Home” to link to your blog.?
Thanks for your quick repsonse.
I tried to have the blog show on the home page but no result. To be honest I am a WordPress newbie and have no clue what im doing.
Maybe it has something to do with the page-template but cannot find a way to slect one when editing a page.
I have used the dummy pages to fill my site.
Can you have a look at my site?
Try to unset the WordPress reading settings (no static front page, etc.) and go to Flashlight > Theme Options. There select your “Blog” page as front page AND blog page (the blog page option fades in after you’ve selected a front page).
