    Is there a way of creating a blog roll with Featured Images and Captions only, no title or post content etc underneath. Then when you click on the image it takes you to the full post with title, content etc.

    Hi,

    Open template-blog.php and find code.

    get_template_part( 'includes/loop', 'index' );

    Replace it with

    get_template_part( 'includes/loop', 'blog' );

    Now go to includes folder and find loop-index.php, create a duplicate and rename it to loop-blog.php. Edit loop-blog.php and find this line of codes.

    //echo the post title
    echo $title;

    <!--meta info-->
    <div class="<?php avia_layout_class('meta'); ?> units blog-meta">

    <div class='side-container side-container-date'>

    <div class='side-container-inner'>

    <span class='date-container minor-meta meta-color'><?php echo get_the_date() ?></span>
    <div class='post-format-icon'></div>
    </div>

    </div>

    </div><!--end meta info-->

    <div class="<?php avia_layout_class('entry'); ?> units entry-content <?php echo $post_format; ?>-content">

    <span class='date-container minor-meta meta-color'><?php echo get_the_date(); ?></span>
    <?php
    // subtitle
    echo $subtitle;

    // echo the post content
    echo $content;

    if(has_tag() && is_single())
    {
    echo '<span class="blog-tags minor-meta">';
    echo the_tags('<strong>'.__('Tags: ','avia_framework').'</strong><span>');
    echo '</span></span>';
    }
    ?>

    <div class='blog-inner-meta extralight-border'>

    <div class='post-meta-infos'>

    <?php

    if(comments_open() || get_comments_number())
    {
    echo "<span class='comment-container minor-meta'>";
    comments_popup_link(" <span>0 ".__('Comments','avia_framework')."</span>",
    " <span>1 ".__('Comment' ,'avia_framework')."</span>",
    " <span>% ".__('Comments','avia_framework')."</span>",'comments-link',
    __('Comments Off' ,'avia_framework'));
    echo "</span><span class='text-sep comment-container-sep'>/</span>";
    }

    echo '<div class="like-count minor-meta">';
    echo avia_facebook_like($id);
    echo '</div><span class="text-sep like-count-sep">/</span>';

    echo '<span class="tweets-count minor-meta">';
    echo avia_retweet($id);
    echo '</span><span class="text-sep tweets-count-sep">/</span>';

    $cats = get_the_category();
    if(!empty($cats))
    {
    // __('posted in','avia_framework')
    echo '<span class="blog-categories minor-meta">'.__('in','avia_framework')." ";
    the_category(', ');
    echo ' </span>';
    // echo '<span class="text-sep cat-sep">/</span>';
    }

    /*
    echo '<span class="blog-author minor-meta">'.__('by ','avia_framework');
    the_author_posts_link();
    echo '</span><span class="text-sep author-sep">/</span>';

    echo '<span class="blog-permalink minor-meta">';
    echo "<a href='".get_permalink()."'>".__('#permalink','avia_framework')."</a>";
    echo '</span>';
    */

    ?>

    </div>

    </div>

    </div>

    Remove all of them. You need to make sure that each of your post have a featured image.

    Worked perfectly for the page I have specified as my “blog” however I also need this to work for my homepage which has a blog posts area and the archives for blog categories. The only time I ever want the additional info (ie number of comments, tweets, likes, date etc etc) to be viewed is within the actual post itself.

    Thanks

    Paul

    Hi,

    Did you use the Template Builder for your frontpage?

    Regards,

    Ismael

    Yes I did, I used the already built in “Front Page” template and added the elements that I required.

    Hi Paul,

    Can we take a look at your frontpage now? I think we might be able to do the rest of the changes with a bit of css and not have to really dig into the framework files.

    Devin

    Try adding the following CSS to your Quick CSS (located under the Styling Tab in the theme options) or the custom.css file in the css folder of your theme files:

    #top.home .post-title, .blog-meta {
    display: none;
    }
    #top.home .six.units.entry-content {
    display: none;
    }
    #top.home .template-blog .post-entry {
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    }

    Regards,

    Devin
