    Hi,

I emailed this question earlier today, but I can’t seem to find it, so sorry if this is a repeat. At my website http://www.scoutcharleston.com, I have a bit of an issue with the blog. I posted my first post, and placed the “see more” bar after the first few sentences. When reading the blog post, however, if you click on “see more” it goes to an error page “Error 404 – Page Not Found”. Do you have a fix for this?

    Hey cally423!

Post title and preview image is also giving error 404. Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can take a look?
P.S.: I have checked the threads you have started and this the only one you have started since last week.

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hey!

Please refer to fix suggested here http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks#Fixing_Permalink_Problems
That should fix the permalink issue you are having

I am facing the same problem. The moment I use permalinks, the pages generate a code 404. I have been searching for solutions. Found serveral, [also the issue on slugs – corrected it] but none of them actually works. neither does the WP solution.

I now returned to the standard option, pagenumber. which is quite frustrating. So what other options are there

I ended up upgrading my WordPress version, and the issue went away. I have no idea how or why, but you may give that a try.

thanks for your reply. At what version of WP are you now. Because before the upgrade to 3.8.1 i already had this problem

I upgraded to 3.8.1, which is what solved my issue. I can’t explain why, though. My issue was only occurring on my blog page where there was a “more tag”.
