I’m stumped. Product image on Product Page is blurry. Check it:
Devin answered this question for me before, saying:
“Check your functions.php as well as your config.php in the woocommerce folder of your theme files for an image size set to 138×185. That seems to be the size the image is getting set to for your product image. See: http://brainsarefun.com/wp-content/uploads/Product-Shot-138×185.jpg from your example page.”
However, I’m a marketer and not a coder – so I have no idea what the above means. Can someone walk me through it like I’m a 5 year old, as that’s about the level of my HTML/coding ability.
BTW – I am willing to trade copywriting and marketing skills for this stuff – as I need a lot of help from a WordPress guru. Willing to barter.

What is the original size of your product image?
The cropped image size for the single product should be 350x350px. If you didn’t change anything on the code, try to regenerate the thumbnails using this plugin.
Install the plugin then activate. Go to Tools > Regen. Thumbnails.
Devin is talking about the code for the thumbnail sizes located on config.php inside woocommerce-config folder. You can access those files through FTP or your cpanel.
This a video on how to access files via cpanel’s file manager:
Go to wp-content/themes/abundance/woocommerce-config folder, look for the config.php file, edit it. Go to line 33, you should have a code like this
$avia_config['imgSize']['shop_single'] = array('width'=>350, 'height'=>350);
Please confirm if you see it on your config.php. That is the code responsible for your product image size on single product view.

My image is 350X350.I tried to regenerate thumbnails, did not work. I did not change any code, but will try the cpanel next and let you know how it turns out.

I check the file path you recommended and this is exactly what I found:
$avia_config = array(‘width’=>350, ‘height’=>350);
So this does not seem to be the issue. Nor does image size. Nor does regenerating the thumbnails seem to work. VERY frustrating – and I know this is a Woo Commerce thing, but still…..
Any other ideas? Should be so simple.June 19, 2013 at 2:23 am #124790
