    I have followed the steps here http://www.kriesi.at/support/topic/breadcrumbs-with-flashlight#post-109067 and now have breadcrumbs on my regular pages. I need the breadcrumbs on my product pages though and they do not show. I imagine i am just missing a setting or need to add the code to another file… can you help please?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Open woocommerce-config.php, find this code:

    echo "<div id='main' class='container_wrap shop_columns_".$avia_config['shop_overview_column']."'>";
    if(is_singular() && is_product())
    {
    echo "<div class='container bit_title ".$avia_config['layout']."'>";
    echo '<div class="template-shop-single content portfolio-size-'.$size.'">';
    }
    else
    {
    echo "<div class='ajaxContainer container template-shop portfolio-size-$size'>";
    echo '<div class="template-portfolio-overview content portfolio-size-'.$size.'">';
    }

    Replace it with:

    echo "<div id='main' class='container_wrap shop_columns_".$avia_config['shop_overview_column']."'>";
    if(is_singular() && is_product())
    {
    echo "<div class='container bit_title ".$avia_config['layout']."'>";
    echo '<div class="template-shop-single content portfolio-size-'.$size.'">';
    echo "<div class='template-page content'>";
    echo '<div class="breadcrumbs">';
    if(function_exists('bcn_display'))
    {
    bcn_display();
    }
    echo "</div>";
    }
    else
    {
    echo "<div class='ajaxContainer container template-shop portfolio-size-$size'>";
    echo '<div class="template-portfolio-overview content portfolio-size-'.$size.'">';
    echo '<div class="breadcrumbs">';
    if(function_exists('bcn_display'))
    {
    bcn_display();
    }
    echo "</div>";
    }

    Thanks Ismael. It works on all catalog pages but moves the menu into the center of the page on the single product page… Any suggestions? Also it shows at the very top of the page. Any chance it could be closer to the image of the product on the single product page? Thanks for your help…

    #129208

    Also the links on the breadcrumbs are not working. I can see them but I can not click on them…

    #129209

    Hi superbanker36,

    Can we see what you have now after following the steps so far?

    On single product pages the menu is supposed to be in the top center so I’m not sure what might be happening otherwise.

    Regards,

    I took it down because I wasn’t able to work on those pages… I have re-entered the code and you will now see that the menu that is always on the left side of the screen is set in the middle… Is it possible to have the breadcrumbs in the inner box or just under the title instead?

    Thanks- offeringfunds.com/jaw

    #129211

    Yes . if you want to place it in the inner box open up single.php and page.php (and maybe other templates like archive.php, etc.) and replace

    echo "<div class='inner_box'>";

    with

    echo "<div class='inner_box'>";
    echo '<div class="breadcrumbs">';
    if(function_exists('bcn_display'))
    {
    bcn_display();
    }
    echo '</div>';

    do I need to take out the previous breadcrumbs code above or just add the code to the page.php and single.php? Also for some reason I can not find single.php. Thanks for your help. I have purchased a few more themes from you guys based solely on the support you give (and the great themes of course). Thanks!

    On woocoomerce – config.php I changed

    echo “<div class=’box’><div class=’inner_box’>”;

    avia_display_shop_menu();

    if(!is_singular())

    {

    to

    echo “<div class=’box’><div class=’inner_box’>”;

    avia_display_shop_menu();

    if(!is_singular())

    {

    echo “<div class=’container bit_title “.$avia_config.”‘>”;

    echo ‘<div class=”template-shop-single content portfolio-size-‘.$size.'”>';

    echo “<div class=’template-page content’>”;

    echo ‘<div class=”breadcrumbs”>';

    if(function_exists(‘bcn_display’))

    {

    bcn_display();

    }

    echo “</div>”;

    }

    else

    {

    echo “<div class=’ajaxContainer container template-shop portfolio-size-$size’>”;

    echo ‘<div class=”template-portfolio-overview content portfolio-size-‘.$size.'”>';

    echo ‘<div class=”breadcrumbs”>';

    if(function_exists(‘bcn_display’))

    {

    bcn_display();

    }

    echo “</div>”;

    }

    and the breadcrumbs are now where I would like them but the menu that should be alligned to the left ends up in the middle of the screen. Can you please offer some help in getting it back in it’s rightful place?

    Hi,

    Please replace your code with this:

    echo "<div class='box'><div class='inner_box'>";
    avia_display_shop_menu();
    if(!is_singular())
    {
    $avia_config['overview'] = true;
    avia_woocommerce_advanced_title();
    echo '<div class="breadcrumbs">';
    if(function_exists('bcn_display'))
    {
    bcn_display();
    }
    echo "</div>";
    }
    else
    {
    echo '<div class="breadcrumbs">';
    if(function_exists('bcn_display'))
    {
    bcn_display();
    }
    echo "</div>";
    }
    }

    I replaced the code i entered above with the code you suggested and the theme is still broken. The main navigation is now centered in the middle of the page… offeringfunds.com/jaw . Everything would be perfect if the main menu was in the right place… Please help…

    #129216

    Hi superbanker36,

    It looks like somewhere along the line some bad css was added in. You’ll need to delete all of the custom css you’ve added in (make sure to back it up) and then save. You can then re-add each change in to find whats causing any issues.

    There also looks to be a bit of broken php from something as well (http://offeringfunds.com/jaw/portfolio/boots/) .

    So at this point, you would want to save all of your theme files locally to your computer. Then re-upload the raw unaltered theme so you are back to a good starting point. Re-follow each step to add in the breadcrumbs. Even a single missing bracket cause cause the entire site to fail when it gets to that code so make sure its copied over exactly.

    Regards,

    Devin

    Hey guys. It seemed like taking Devin’s suggestion to start with a clean slate was a little extreme for my limited skills. So I played with some things and I found the problem. The code above is trying to put the breadcrumbs into .box and .inner box which is what broke the theme. When I removed .inner box from the code, everything worked perfectly.

    Thanks for your help…

    Hi,

    The code I gave you worked on my end. Glad you fixed it. :)

    Ismael
