If you have troubles since the update to WordPress 4.5 please read this post before opening a new thread.
I would like to create a number of custom post types in order to organise a large number of new pages that I am planning to add to my site (about 100,000!)
I know how to create custom post types, but the problem is I want them to be pages NOT posts!
So when I add a new page in a certain CPT, I get the standard Brightbox page (not post) editing environment and all its options.
Additionally when the page is displayed in the browser I want it to display as a page and NOT as a post type.
Is this possible? Can you tell me how to make it so that CPT’s are pages and not posts?
as far as I know all posts offer the same options like pages. Maybe you need to add your post types to the metabox arrays:
$boxes = array(
array( 'title' => 'Slideshow Options', 'id'=>'slideshow_meta', 'page'=>array('post','page','portfolio'), 'context'=>'normal', 'priority'=>'high' ),
array( 'title' => 'Add featured media', 'id'=>'slideshow' , 'page'=>array('post','page','portfolio'), 'context'=>'normal', 'priority'=>'high' ),
array( 'title' => 'Dynamic Templates', 'id'=>'dynamic_templates' , 'page'=>array('post','page','portfolio'), 'context'=>'side', 'priority'=>'low' )
in brightboxincludesadminregister-admin-metabox.php (add the post type(s) to ‘post’,’page’,’portfolio’ – i.e. ‘post’,’page’,’portfolio’,’custom_type’ , etc.).
